rEcess FAQ

Each rEcess program is implemented and run by the host church and local rEcess leadership team. Therefore, the following serves as a guide for typical responses; however, you will want to ensure accuracy by referring questions to the specific location:

How much does it cost to attend rEcess?
Each monthly rEcess is offered to all families free of charge.

How do I volunteer for rEcess?
It's easy. Just email the location and let them know that you're interested. In order to become a volunteer each location provides training and a background check.

When is rEcess?
Most of our programs meet once monthly during the school calendar.

How do I get my child on the list?
If you are interested in attending rEcess, please fill out our Child Profile Form, which will enable the rEcess team to assess whether or not our program is a good fit for your family and if we are currently able to accommodate your attendance. Click Here to download the Child Profile Form. You must use Adobe Reader to complete the form, which you can download here. While we hope to serve the entire community, invitations are contingent on sufficient space, volunteers and need.

What care is provided?
Each special needs child is paired with a trained volunteer for the evening. The siblings are overseen by volunteers and enjoy their own activities. Parents are always welcome to participate in a night alongside of us.
